The
prophet once said; “ I and the one who takes
responsibility for an orphan, whether of his own
kin or of others, will be in paradise thus, “
and he pointed his forefinger and middle-finger
with a slight space between them. Inspired by these
prophetic words and to realize his long cherished
dream, a well wisher came forward donating his 2.5
acres of fertile land as waqf to the trust to start
an orphanage at Pezhumkara. This was materialized
the first objective of the trust in 1981, At present
there are nearly 150 inmates in the Orphanage most
of them are girls. Well attended and meticulously
cared for, they are being given education in the
state curriculum in our own Model High School together
with spiritual awareness.
It
is worthy to note that the trust has conducted several
mass marriage programmes and Solemnized marriage
of about 60 orphan girls and destitutes.
